Non-stand Alone (NSA)

Non Stand Alone (NSA) architecture

  • Uses 4G as an anchor for radio access.

  • The 4G Core controls the sessions.

  • It will basically bring us more speed, less latency, and densification.

Stand Alone (SA) architecture (> 2023)

  • Can work without 4G.

  • Uses a dedicated core that can be convergent.

  • Allows new services that use network slicing and edge computing.
